*Boscos Irish Red Ale
Practice for Saint Patrick's Day. For those that are interested, traditional Irish red ales' color came from the same roasted barley that was used to brew stouts. Using a smaller quantity of this dark malt produces the red color. A larger amount would produce the black color associated with Ireland's stouts

*Poor Richard's Ale
Contrary to what most people think, Ben Franklin didn't say "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." But although Ben didn't actually say it, I'm pretty sure he would think it to be true. To commenerate the anniversary if his birthday, January 17, we have brewed our version of an 18th century ale using traditional ingredients like corn, molasses and traditional American hops.

*Boscos Winter Warmer
This English Style winter beer is packed full of both an assertive malty character and the herbal flavors of two English hop varieties, Kent Goldings and Fuggles. Don't be fooled, English style winter beers vary greatly in color. Ours is a deep golden color.

*Ed's Porter
This is the American craft brewing take on the classic English style. Traditional "chocolate malt" flavors are blended with the assertive character of a generous portion of two American hop varieties, Centennial and Cascades.

Bottle Conditioned
Ale
(1998, 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003 Real Ale
Festival Medal Winner)
Boscos' Bottle Conditioned Ales have undergone
a secondary fermentation in the bottle
from which they are served. Unfiltered
and naturally carbonated, they are similar
to our cask conditioned ales but are more
effervescent. The time that the beer spends
aging in the bottle creates complex and
different flavors that are not found in
either our draft beer or our cask conditioned
ales. Each bottle can have individual
flavor characteristics. Available styles
vary. Ask your server or bartender what's
on hand.

of body and strength.

the beer. The higher the number, the stronger
the hop flavor.
