*Shaft on Draft

Brewed for "Staxtacular 2012", the annual fundraiser held at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, February 11, 2012 at 7 PM. Join stars from the Memphis Grizzlies in raising funds for the Soulsville Charter School. This beer is a craft beer take on the classic American style, malt liquor. *Poor Richard's Ale

In spite of the fact that Benjamin Franklin is constantly given credit for the quote “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy”, this line does appear anywhere in Ben’s writing. But I’m certain he felt this way about his favorite beverage. Brewed with corn and molasses, two common brewing ingredients in colonial
times, Poor Richards Ale is a modern interpretation of a beer Ben might have drank in one of his favorite taverns.

*Boscos Winter Warmer

A wide range of beers brewed in England during the winter months are collectively known as “winter warmers.” While there is a large variation in the flavor profiles of these beers, a common characteristic they share is strength, hence the designation “warmer”. These beers are also referred to, and named, “Olde (fill in the blank)”, a reference to the fact that this is an old style of beer. But don’t confuse this with Olde English 800.

*Boscos Oatmeal Stout

Stout is one of those beers that has many variations. Most beer drinkers who say “I don’t like stout beer” don’t realize that there are dry stouts, milk stouts, export stouts, imperial stouts and “oatmeal” stouts. Stouts have always been recognized as being good for you (as all beers are) but with oatmeal added, watch out! The oatmeal adds texture, creaminess and all that fiber we all need for various reasons.

Bottle Conditioned Ale

(1998 & 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2003 Real Ale Festival Medal Winner)

Boscos’ Bottle Conditioned Ales have undergone a secondary fermentation in the bottle from which they are served. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, they are similar to our cask conditioned ales but are usually more effervescent. The time that the beer spends aging in the bottle creates complex and different flavors that are not usually found in either our draft beer or our cask conditioned ales. In fact, each bottle can have individual flavor characteristics.Available styles vary.
