*Poor Richard's Ale

In spite of the fact that Benjamin Franklin is constantly given credit for the quote “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy”, this line does appear anywhere in Ben’s writing.  But I’m certain he felt this way about his favorite beverage. *Boscos Winter Warmer

A wide range of beers brewed in England during the winter months are collectively known as “winter warmers.” While there is a large variation in the flavor profiles of these beers, a common characteristic they share is strength, hence the designation “warmer”. These beers are also referred to, and named, “Olde (fill in the blank)”, a reference to the fact that this is an old style of beer. But don’t confuse this with Olde English 800.
